The Journey

There are a lot of competitions that test the participants' knowledge and application. However, there was no such competition being conducted for school children, where they would need to solve unseen problems. And that was precisely the unseen problem that Gayatri & Kartik aimed to solve! :-)

The inaugural Puzzle Bee was conducted in the year 2016. It was an amazing journey that kicked off with a relatively small but extremely enthusiastic group of 120 participants in the first edition.

Over the next three years, Puzzle Bee grew in stature by leaps and bounds. By 2019, we had thousands of participants putting their thinking caps on for Puzzle Bee. It became the most prestigious competition in Nagpur.

Right since the inception, the USP of Puzzle Bee was the on stage finale round. The finalists would solve the puzzles in front of a packed auditorium. This put the focus not just on the IQ but also the EQ.

However, with the offline finals being such an important cog in the wheel, Puzzle Bee was always a Nagpur only competition.

Enter 2020 and in came the unseen problem of Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown restrictions.

But as they say, every dark cloud has a silver lining! The lockdown meant we had to go online for Puzzle Bee 2020. The good news though was that Puzzle Bee graduated from Nagpur only to pan India. :-)

Puzzle Bee 2020 had close to 15000 participants. The journey here on is only onward and upward...
